Salvo was a great host, taking real pride in his business and always been readily available to help and support with any requests in person or on WhatsApp. The room is spacious with lovely historic high ceilings and features large double doors leading to a balcony. It has air-con and was surprisingly quiet at night even in its central location. It’s a very central location with a bus stop to the main airport just outside and has a tube station outside that goes to the main train station for connectivity to Ortigia and Taormina.

The B&B was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was spectacular and it was a treat to have room service. Host picked us up at the train station and upon check out took is to the airport. It was great communicating with him through WhatsApp. Very friendly staff, perfect location, for those with a car there is a parking garage. Bery safe and secure accommodation. Highly recommend for stay in Catania

This place is for travellers and not tourists. It is located in a landmark building and had very interesting points. Does have parking must call ahead for planning. Santo was a very hospitable host and made our stay very easy. Breakfast was good lots of sweets and carbs but that it how Sicilians like it. We had a great time

This place was really exceptional. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was brought to your room each morning. Your balcony opened onto the market and you were a walking distance from everything. Most importantly, our host who didn’t speak much English couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was a great one. Everything about this place bespeaks Sicilian beauty, charm and hospitality.

Very large double room with a great view on the porch. Would be great for a working stay or extended student stay. Front desk staff was helpful. However, you need to contact them to be let into the gate, and that info was not shared prior to check in. Clearly having the WhatsApp number available with instructions prior to check in would have been nice. Great location with easy walking access to the city center.

Old charming place with great character, but need to be cleaner and some renovation.

The curry smell was so strong we couldn't stay. There was no one there to check us in. We had to call and then wait on someone. We were in a garage ‘courtyard’ and a young person arrived on a bicycle and took us to a small elevator to go to our room. Then we had to go down the stairs back to a room. There was no way to open any windows, the air conditioner didn’t cool well, the TV didn’t come on and the smell of curry was VERY strong. We did not stay. It was an unpleasant experience we did not want to complete.
