The Ryokan itself is very nice, the entrance is very beautiful, the staff is wonderful above average even in Japanese standards, particularly Nanami the room attendant was absolutely top notch impecable service. Do consider this Ryokan is in the middle of the town so no views from the public bath and there is some traffic noise, there was also some noise due to demolition work right next door, it ended around 5pm and restarted at around 8:30am. The room does have an amazing view to the beach and sea all the way to Hatsushima and even Oshima islands. Food was fantastic particularly the Atami dried fish, the food is so beautifully presented, delicious and abundant it’s amazing.

初めて古屋旅館に宿泊しました。 お料理も凄く美味しくいただきました。温泉いいお湯加減で大満足です。 お掃除も隅々までしっかりしている印象です。 湯上がりジュースと缶ビール小もありマシンのコーヒー、お部屋の冷蔵庫の缶ジュースは無料でした。 お部屋係の方もありがとう御座いました。 またリピートしたいと思います。

This place was the nicest I have ever been to in Japan. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful.

Fantastic experience...only wish we would have had more time. We used this as a hub prior to climbing Mt. Fuji - not too far from the Atami Station and easy to access. Staff is helpful, kind and very welcoming. Beautiful Ryokan - would definitely come back to visit again.

Excellent service, courteous and professional

The hot spring is open throughout the evening which is great. There is not much to do in the local area. The food wasn’t that fresh and was prepared ages ago. The service was good.
