No smile at all in this hotel. Except the gentleman helped us to check in on the very first night! At 1am😊. Surprisingly, Breakfast was very poor & terrible. Stayed just for 2 days & can’t tolerated the poorly breakfast. No air conditioning outside the room. Although, the location is excellent. 2 minutes walk to the shopping street & 15-20’ walk to the bund or Yu garden. It’s not cheap hotel compares to many others surrounding within the area.

a wonderfully maintained, clean, large hotel just a block from nanjing road and 2 blocks from east nanjing road metro station (line 2, which goes to both airports and at least one railway station directly). if in shanghai again i will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is in a very convenient location, easy to get to with public transport, right next to Nanjing Road and 15 min walk to The Bund. The hotel is luxurious and our room had an amazing view from level 17. Breakfast was delicious and the bar was great for a late night drink before bed. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent. Hotel to stay , good location

Clean room everyday. Friendly staff. Breakfast was great. Everyday staff come and check if we have laundry. Perfect location, just minutes walk to nanjing pedestrian street. Highly recommended

This hotel is well maintained and big. Services is excellent. Location is perfect. Within minutes to Nanjing road and 15 minutes to The Bund

The room is clean and space is great. Location is wonderful. The only thing we concern is the elevator did not use key security. That means any outsider can enter the elevator and come into your hallway.

The hotel itself was very clean and nice. Besides that the breakfast was horrible. So bad that I think I got some form of food poisoning from it. The staff were somewhat friendly but one of the cleaning staff barged into my room and demanded my laundry from me without saying it’s something I had to pay for so I had to run downstairs and get it back. Also the wifi was absolutely horrendous I couldn’t do my remote school work at all. Frustrating because a lot of money was spent on this place and it really went great. Don’t think I would recommend.

Lovely beautiful hotel, if not ever so slightly dated in its decor, however it’s beautifully maintained. My room was exceptionally comfortable and the location fantastic. The staff were not overly welcoming and I also had to provide a deposit at check-in despite having paid for my room already. This practice seems a bit outdated and is very none customer friendly. You demand an immediate deposit but then won’t/can’t refund people’s money back immediately… I didn’t like this at all and three days later still haven’t got MY money back. Breakfast catered for a wide range of tastes, continental, cooked eggs and local cuisines which was lovely. A nice place to stay, staff aside.

I loved my stay at Central Hotel! Great location, awesome spacious room, all necessities provided, and the staff is so helpful and friendly, they left me nothing to worry about. First time in China, this was such a treat, absolutely fabulous!
