Located on one of the best beaches on the island, this hotel is set against a backdrop of fine powder-white sand, crystal-clear waters and emerald hills. The resort is only a 45-minute scenic boat ride on the resort's own exclusive ferry from the Merang jetty. With a magnificent shoreline blessed with fine sandy beaches, bathed by a clear blue sea and set against a background of green hills, this is possibly the island's loveliest resort. Adding to the wonder of it all, this low-rise resort has been designed as a modern interpretation of traditional Malay architecture, so that it exists in total harmony with its natural surroundings. The 222-room resort is fully air-conditioned and includes a reception area, currency exchange facilities, a restaurant and conference facilities. The rooms at the resort range from Standard through Deluxe Garden, Deluxe Pool, Deluxe Sea and Premier Sea Rooms to Laguna Suites. All rooms are extra spacious and fitted with timber striped flooring. Deluxe rooms and above have individual balconies to take advantage of the South China Sea breeze and offer a choice of enchanting garden, rainforest, sea or pool views. All rooms are en suite and come with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, a television, a room safe and individually regulated air conditioning units as standard. The hotel has recreation activities such as pool, beach games (e.g. beach volleyball), indoor board games, island excursions, jungle trekking, non-motorised water sports (e.g. banana boating) and snorkelling. The resort has its own outdoor swimming pool with a children's area, as well as a gym. The hotel serves delicious local and international cuisines. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available at all bar outlets throughout the day. Sang Suria Restaurant, an open concept restaurant with charming surroundings, serves a wide buffet spread of local oriental cuisine.
