An attractive hotel ideally situated for a visit to the southern lakes.

Have stayed here a couple of times this year. The breakfast is great. The staff are excellent. Very quiet location but not to far from main towns. We will definitely ho there again next year.

If you have the chance, take the cabin! It’s so nice to have your own backyard, with a spa and furniture outside, you really feel like home. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the hotel and it was delicious. The staff is really nice and smiling! Would totally recommand! It’s close to any hikes + we saw a few bikers too!

The rooms, facilities and staff were exceptionally good. The food was outstanding. The hotel, itself, needs some upgrading to the exterior. Whilst the garden areas were beautiful, the cast iron white tables and chairs were dirty and needed a thorough clean. The water feature also. There were insufficient cushions on the exterior chairs. The whole outside of the building would benefit from white masonry painting to upgrade the property significantly. We would stay again

Clean room, although some plumbing was needed in the bathroom noisy squeaky taps, room was a bit dated, but hotel was lovely. Would stay again and hope for a nicer room. Staff were lovely.

We had a great stay and the position of the hotel was great for us. you get what you pay for and i am not being critical but a bit of an update, renovate and decoration in some areas would help to improve the hotel, however this did not affect our stay in any way and the staff were great as was the restaurant.

Good breakfast selection, helpful staff. Very busy at dinner but our table of 7 was served efficiently. Nice terrace to sit with a drink, pleasant surroundings

Great room, brilliant choices on breakfast buffet. Enjoyed the pool,hot tub and steam room. Great grounds and parking. Enjoyed the cask ale not just fizzy t bar beer. Had 2 great evening meals. Nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle, lots to see and do within driving distance. Great friendly attentive staff

Everything was spot on.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights. The location is beautiful but quite remote. No shops so a car is needed. A lovely bar/restaurant with helpful staff, an amazing menu. Harry at reception is so helpful . If going for a cruise or into Windermere there is a card for 20% off-available from reception. A model village in the grounds . The room we had was a bit quirky but that did not bother us. There is a swimming pool, small gym and massage therapy. Would highly recommend for a few days away.
