What a perfect place to stay. Room was large and comfortable. Emiko was a lovey host full of great suggestions on what to do locally. Breakfast was very tasty but the real added extra was the on site bar with what seemed like 100s of different whiskeys which Emiko was very knowledgable on and happy to help you find one to enjoy. We will be back.

A picturesque and gorgeous place to stay. The owners are so personable and accommodating. By the time we left we felt like family. I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s perfect

This was a great little find. So delighted with our stay at this property and could not have asked for more. Friendly, caring staff throughout every part of our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Every last detail was given to us. Email correspondence before we arrived. Would love to keep this place to ourselves, but need to share it with you as well.

Lovely hotel with an amazing range of Whisky. Breakfast was really good and decent portions. If you can, book dinner while staying here, as it's delicious and nicely leads into some whisky tasting. Emiko was a fantastic host. Very attentative and provided some great guidance on local walks and restaurants.

Lovely overnight stay

Property was clean, excellent bar, brilliant breakfasts, Staff pleasant and helpful .Easy local walking We found our bed was too small Problem with no shoes upstairs Beautiful oak staircase but was slippery in stocking feet Full marks otherwise Many thanks to Emiko and Doreen

We loved the wayside whiskey barn. We had the twin room which was tastefully decorated. The whole place was real class. We had a full english for breakfast which was delicious. Emiko was a lovely lady . She let us book in a bit earlier. She went out of her way for anything that you would need. We would definately go back for a return visit.

Lovely B&B on the West side of the Lake District. Beautifully restored farmhouse with an excellent whiskey bat - have to admit to trying the bespoke Gins rather than Scotch. Will return.

This is a very special place to stay with a wonderful hostess. Lots of little touches that made our Ruby Wedding celebration extra special. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent and the selection of whisky amazed us.

Perfect location to explore the peaks Lake District or the beaches of Millom. We hiked up Scafell Pike and the drive to and fro was just 40 mins. The room itself was gorgeous, tastefully decorated and very plush. Lovely owners, very courteous and helpful and accommodated our last minute booking and late checkin/checkout requirements without a fuss. Totally recommend the stay here to getaway from the humdrum of city life!
