Staff, room and location very good!

Employees are nice, room is clean but if your room is on higher floor and you have a big luggage, i dont recommend. Flush on higher floor is also an issue. It takes time for water to fill.

Rooms were outdated and had a bug problem

Staff it’s ok I guess but the hotel I mean is not a hotel just some made up building into rooms , most without a bathroom in the room and given no choice or tell us there’s no bathroom when booking Windows don’t close all the way and can hear all noises outside and cars driving all night The building itself smells very bad The double bed is basically two very very old mattresses put together and caved in It seems like some World War Two movie situation . It’s not a hotel !!! It’s some kind of apartments put together with fake made up metal stairs .

We enjoyed our stay immensely! The hotel is a couple blocks from the bus stop and a grocery store,a short taxi ride to the airport and train station and in a great neighborhood. Alessandro, Sabrina and the staff were very accommodating and helped us in every aspect of our stay. We appreciate and will miss them. Thank you Hotel Masaccio til next time.

The room was nice and spacious. The shower and sink are in the room, which is unique and a nice feature when staying in a hotel that has shared bathrooms (there is also a shower in the shared bathroom). The shared bathrooms were clean and well kept, and the staff were very kind! The receptionist gave us a map of Florence and pointed out/circled recommended things to do. We also got replacement shampoo and soap everyday. Would recommend!

The stay was very pleasant and peaceful. The rooms were cleaned daily and the staff were very welcoming towards us. A very good place and would recommend!

After being robbed in Rome and waiting to get our temporary passport, we came to Florence and was welcomed with details of local attractions and transportation tip and basically everything in walking distance. Can’t be better stay in center of Florence and … be safe. At US consulate, there were people being robbed and their safe and luggage being took away with all the money and passports… this is a home away from home with sense of secure and extremely clean and convenient. We extended our stay again and again :)

We stayed at Hotel Masaccio for three nights during our visit to Florence. It is walkable to all of the sites. But if you’d rather not walk, the number 12 bus is right in front of the hotel and the number 11 bus will bring you back. We found the hotel to be charming, with a nice little dining area and balcony. The room was very clean and comfortable. Most of all it is a very affordable option and extremely convenient. I highly recommend the Hotel Masaccio.
