Excellent place to stay! We went with family and they accommodated our vegetarian food request and provided excellent dinner and breakfast items from Japanese cuisine !

Excellent traditional Japanese ryokan hotel with great staff. Having a private onsen (some of the rooms only) overlooking the fast-flowing river was the cherry on top. The rooms are spacious and the in-house restaurant served excellently prepared and presented traditional Japanese food which was a great cultural experience.

Traditional onsen experience, a lovely stay with very attentive staff. The traditional meals were a fabulous experience. Our family felt like we had visited the “real” Japan especially sleeping on futons. Highly recommend for scenery and immersive experience.

The staff here were extremely attentive and helpful, the room was gigantic, plenty of space for multiple people. The onsen with the view of the river and hills was to die for, there was a bit of an issue with mold in the onsen area but that's too be expected with the constant moisture levels I would think. The meals were great as well, I had completely forgotten I booked half board so having a 7 course dinner after a day of walking was much appreciated, and I got to try foods I had get to experience in Japan. I will say the sound proofing from the room above was a bit lacking, as they appeared to be having a FANTASTIC weekend, which disturbed my sleep a bit.

Food was top notch but the conditions of the room needed to be improved. The air filter in the was not existing, so a lot of dust was flying around in the air. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner every day. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Authentic feel and warm friendly service. Food was lovely. Appreciated the shuttle bus.

The Toshogu Shrine and Shinto Bridge are within walking distance. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance for lunch, including a Lawsons! They have a free shuttle to and from the train station, what a nice accommodation. The rooms were spacious and clean. The onsen was clean and also has an outdoor onsen! The food was delicious and they different each night and breakfast! I highly recommend this ryokan and I would definitely come back here when visiting Nikko!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was close and an easy walk to the shrines. The room's private bath was wonderful. The upstairs shared bath had hotter water and views of the river. The breakfast and dinners were delicious

Amazing experience! Onsen, rooms and allover environment was superb. The meals served were carefully prepared with an exquisite presentation. Staff is very kind and helpful. They’ll shuttle you to and from Nikko station to the Ryokan as well as guide you to the bus that takes you to Keyon. falls. In addition, the Ryokan plays calming music in the hallways and reception area. Gift shop is adorable and they add a special touch to putting your name on a plaque visible at the entry way into the Ryokan. We will miss this facility and hope to return again.
