good location, bad facilities

Pros: Safe entry, working AC, and the location is great. Cons: The room really needed an upgrade and was dirty. The tiles on the floor were loose so they would move around/stick to our feet every time we walked around and we’d have to re-lay them. As for the bathroom, there was an old loofah (not ours) and a used bar of soap (not ours either) in the shower, which shows it hadn’t been cleaned properly before we checked in. The sink also leaked onto the floor every time we used it and the shower head wouldn’t stay up. Lastly, the wifi wasn’t great either.

Fantastic location if you are going to the opera or if you want to be right in the city centre. It’s. 3-4 minute walk from Verona Arena and you can easily walk to Juliet’s Balcony, the main Piazzas and lots of restaurants/cafes. The check in was super easy and communicated clearly. Everything is self-service, with fast WhatsApp support if needed. If you are a solo female traveler, it’s fairly safe and the area is safe to walk at night and quiet. I was unsure about sharing the apartment with strangers but it was absolutely okay and nobody disturbed each other. You can hear the keys turning and doors closing etc but that’s normal for a flatshare. The bathroom was clean and spacious. I had the single room and it was basic, but it did the job and matched what I paid which was very low compared to the other options in Verona. The only negative for me is security. The single room opens up to a balcony which can be accessed from the main entrance and there is only a shutter and not a particularly secure door. There was also a lot of loud noise from some kind of machine on the balcony and the water pipes. I also think the place could do with a revamp as it’s very old-fashioned. However, there was AC, Wi-Fi, a TV, towels, and a clean bed. I slept well and had no issues. Overall, I would recommend it!

No hot water, wifi not working, bed is really hard

This property was very clean and quiet, all the basics provided. The television in room five had a blue hue to it and I had trouble off and on with the internet, but that could have been my lack of expertise. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful, but only there for a couple of hours in the morning while I was staying. The location is good, central and very close to the arena, in case you are an opera fan. Just across the street there is a bar where you can get breakfast. I would stay again if I return to Verona.

When I booked, I had no idea I was renting a room in an apartment in a building! I would expect that from a service like AirBnB but not Expedia. At least this was my personal expectation. I was a bit surprised when I got a call from the property saying that we don’t have a reception and that is not a hotel. Sharing a bathroom was also not an option that I would go for, and that was the second surprise that we need to share the bathroom with other guests. Luckily, there was no one in the adjacent room.

Fantastic value for where it’s located. Great location!

Excellent spot for a someone on a budget.
