The beach bungalow that we had, was really cosy and provided a very special vibe and privacy. The construction with bamboo, wood and a high roof with reed, as well as all other materials used created a warm feeling. The setup of the rooms is perfect and also provided enough space to place your things and stay well organized. The Breakfast-Buffet was nice and offered a lot of varieties of food for any kind of taste. The food in the 2 restaurants was good, the service as well. We had a joyfull and relaxing time, and our expectations to the 4-star rating were mostly fulfilled.

The staff is incredible, everyone is so helpful and kind. The overwater bungalow is an experience everyone should experience. The beds were incredibly comfortable and suite was clean and well kept. They left cookies every night during turndown service. Breakfast was amazing. The drinks at the resort could be stronger.

This property is amazing.

Located on probably one of the best locations on the main island of Bora Bora. A great beach on the property, as well as across the street on the other side of the small peninsula. The bungalows are clean, lovely, cozy yet spacious enough, with large windows, a balcony with direct access to the blue lagoon. A glass coffee table lets you view the fish below. Snorkeling on the artificial reefs below the bungalows is also excellent, lots of colourful fish, rays and octopus. The restaurant is excellent, and the breakfast has a large selection of options. The staff is generally helpful and polite with the exception of an older French lady who may be a manager that was over the top sugary-sweet polite to some people, completely ignored others, even at the same table. The resort seems to have a policy where they allow day use with the purchase of food and drink. We came back a couple of times after we moved to more humble lodgings nearby to enjoy the excellent dining, beach and snorkeling.

Awesome 3 night stay in early May in a nicely decorated and refurbished over water bungalow. Quiet and tranquil. Spectacular views from all the bungalows and around the property. Excellent service. A hands on general manager who personally greets each guest and who was always available for questions and comments. As an avid paddle boarder I enjoyed use of the boards provided for guests. The bungalows sit in waist deep water perfect for swimming, walking, or watching the Eagle Rays swim by.

La situation géographique de l’hôtel est sûrement la meilleure de l’île. La nourriture demeure un point à améliorer. Cependant, il y a plusieurs restos à proximité. Les chambres sur pilotis sont super quoiqu’un peu désuettes. Dans l’ensemble je recommande.

Fabulous location. We splurged on an overpriced over water bungalow (somewhat cheaper than the other big name places including the IC’s other location on the outer motu). Crazy expensive but definitely something special. Interior was roomy and pretty with a removable glass coffee table looking down at fish and corals. These little corals in waist deep Chrystal clear water have plenty of fish (saw a bright yellow moral eel also). I spent lots of time snorkeling there. Brilliant! Breakfast was expensive but very good. Lovely beach and nice beach bungalows too. The maitai hotel a five minute walk away is much cheaper and a definite step down but still really nice.

From the moment we arrived at Le Moana, we felt completely at home. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming — always smiling, always attentive, making every interaction feel personal rather than transactional. Breakfast was a true delight, fresh and delicious each morning. Our bungalow was cozy and beautifully appointed, with that rare quality of feeling intimate and homey rather than just “hotel-like.” And the lagoon — absolutely breathtaking. The color of the water is something you simply have to see to believe. We left Le Moana already dreaming of coming back.

The resort is located in a good location at the southern part of the mainland, with a public beach just two steps away. The beauty of the public beach being so close is that guests can choose between the resort beach or public beach, but the public cannot use the resort beach. The resort was well kept and the beach clean. Breakfast was a good selection. I would however recommend fresh fruit juice is available. My overwater bungalow was lagoon view, not much privacy, but that is how the bungalows are built. My room and bathroom was clean and a good size with sliding doors and air conditioning. I would recommend having toothbrushes in the bathroom. The deck chairs were comfortable and the ocean was as clear as can be, with multiple fish and stingrays swimming around each day. Great for snorkelling, with optional water sports. Dinner options was limited to two restaurants, with entertainment twice a week. More restaurant options would be good. Thank you to your member of staff who greeted me on arrival, 18 April. And the lady who helped with check-in. Huge thanks to Vahine, who always greeted me at breakfast with a big smile and remembered my birthday. Thank you also to Purea, Raita and Tuapia, for always greeting me at dinner with enthusiasm. And lastly, thank you to the hotel staff for the birthday gifts, it was appreciated.

The overwater bungalow was a beautiful experience. The amenities were plentiful, it is very hard to be bored with the included amenities. From making hats, to kayaking, snorkeling, etc all on the property and can be reached either from a short walk or swim. The staff were kind and pleasant to be around especially Ms. Barbara.
