With the Rydges being only walking distance from the stadium it was the perfect location for a staycation. The hotel was humming with rugby fans and the staff were warm, welcoming and attentive as it got busier. The pool was great for a quick swim.

It was great. Highly recommend to all travellers.

Good bar, and bar food, and as a solo traveller, it was able to take bar food up to my room.

My stay was extremely disappointing. Reception repeatedly ignored calls and never call you back — the phone rang more than ten times before they answer . Basic room essentials were missing, including coffee, milk, sugar, and body wash. This is unacceptable for any hotel standard, and the lack of service shows poor management and zero attention to guests’ needs.

Great location to the Stadium & Railway station and other transportation

The heater malfunctioned in the middle of the first night but was fixed in the morning. However, the telephone in the room never worked. Every time I called a local number, I got a "number out of service" message. When I asked the hotel operator to call, it worked fine. Even after the hotel sent a staff member to check the phone and who replaced the old phone, it still didn't work.

The bed is really comfortable and the room is spacious. Great location in Wellington near the quay and shopping district
