I was very disappointed with my stay. The property is significantly overpriced for what it offers. The jacuzzi was one of the biggest disappointments—the water was dirty, which made it unpleasant and unacceptable to use. The breakfast was just average, with very limited healthy options. For the price of the stay, I expected a much better selection and higher quality. The restaurant is overrated. Based on the reviews, I expected an exceptional dining experience, but the food was nothing special and did not justify the prices. Overall, the entire property feels outdated and in need of renovation and modernization. The facilities do not match the premium prices being charged. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel. There are much better options available for the same price or less.

One of the reasons why we chose this location was because an onsite restaurant & bar was advertised in the hotel description, but apparently it is only open on Friday & Saturday evenings; very disappointing. Everything else was fine; the lobby and sitting area are very nice.

Was in room 205 balcony was fair..view was not good, it over looked into the alley and a very ugly private residence back yard. The room was clean and the staff we as great. The room was small with only one comfortable sitting chair. Breakfast was amazing.

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was very clean, the facilities were well-maintained, and everything was comfortable. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Place is beautiful. Breakfast was good, like a basic continental buffet type, more than enough for us to fill up for a busy day, room was very clean and fireplace was on a timer so no worries if you fell asleep with the fire on. Pool area was well maintained with lounge chairs and a couple of tables with umbrellas. About 7 min drive to the Village. Took us only about an hour to return after 4th July fireworks from Veteran’s park, which I thought was great considering how busy it was and that time included from packing up our stuff, walking to parking lot behind The Village and navigating traffic. I definitely recommend.

The staff were great - professional, courteous, and went out of their way to be helpful. The room with a king bed and balcony was larger than expected. The pool and hot tub was definitely a nice addition given how hot it was. The hotel is in a great location and close to the summit, the Village, and all shopping. For the bike/hiking enthusiasts, there is a wonderful paved bike/hiking trail right behind the hotel property. The complimentary breakfast was a major plus! One can also dine in the bistro inside the hotel.

We stayed here from July 7 to July 12th. The property was a bit dated (maybe keeping with the Chateau theme), but it was well maintained. The room was clean, spacious, had a large flat screen tv with all the channels one would ever need. There was a jetted tub in the bathroom. Our balcony gave an excellent view of the pool and the surrounding tall pine trees. Housekeeping was excellent each and every day. Each morning there was a delicious breakfast provided, and Tiffany's restaurant was open some evenings. There was live music on the the weekends. There is a workout room and a game room on the lower level. The outdoor jacuzzi was not working when we checked in, but it was working fine the next day. Ann, at the front desk and also bartending at the bar, was most helpful with dinner recommendations. Overall, I felt the Chateau at Big Bear provided great accommodations at a reasonable price.

This is my new go to vacation spot! This hidden gem was gorgeous, clean, tucked away for quiet and privacy but still able to drive within minutes to the village. I absolutely loved my stay here and plan to go back. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms have a jacuzzi tub and fireplace along with a personal balcony take in the night air. They do offer mini fridges, but no microwaves in the room. We were able to walk down and use the microwave in the eating hall which is available 24/7 and had a great view to enjoy left overs. The pool is slightly heated and like swimming in the middle of the forest with all the trees surrounding. An amazing spot for a quiet and relaxing get away.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience. I booked this trip to Big Bear to relax, enjoy the mountains, and get away from the city for a day with my family. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the experience I had. Around 5:00 PM, the front desk informed me that the guests next door had complained about noise coming from our room. The only noise at that time was my two kids showering after excitedly coming back from the pool. We were not playing loud music or being disruptive. Later that evening, while we had movie night to close down the night and our TV was on at a normal volume, the guests next door repeatedly banged on the wall. It was only around 8:00 PM, so it wasn’t late or during quiet hours. As a Hispanic guest with our TV playing in Spanish, the situation left me feeling singled out. While I can’t know the neighbors’ intentions, the combination of the earlier complaint over normal family activity and the repeated banging on the wall made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. I do want to acknowledge that the front desk staff was kind and offered to move us to another room. By the time the offer was made, however, the banging had already stopped. I appreciated the gesture, but the experience had already affected our stay and I no longer felt comfortable. I understand that hotels can’t control every guest’s behavior, but I believe situations like this should be addressed promptly to ensure all guests feel safe and welcome.
