Be aware Double rooms on ground floor that state Ocean View is a lie- view is of harbour stone wall. The window to even see that wall was so dirty you could not view anything. The rooms are dated, fairly grubby, towels were frayed, shower leaked all over one of our rooms. The heat in one of the two rooms we booked was unbearable- there are no reception staff available to discuss any issues with. The external area out the room door that has a small “patio” area was dirty and I wouldn’t let a dog out there. I had booked the rooms specifically as they stated Ocean View so was bitterly disappointed at the false advertising. I did email the property but was there was no other rooms available and no compensation was offered. The fridge did not cool anything we bought. We found discarded clothing on one of the shelves. Only a bedside table on one side of the bed. The location was close to airport which was a positive and we did eat in Kaffi Duus and the food was good- the staff there were also polite and friendly. I appreciate we booked what was classed as basic double but the overall standard was poor and I would not book again.

There is no reception therefore there were no staff on hand when the fire alarm went off at 02:30 and nobody knew if the fire service would come. Generally in a poor state of repair. Do not stay here.

The view and room size was excellent however the toilet had issues and the wifi was not consistent. Parking was vey convenient.

The hotel is in a nice enough location, close to airport and on the main street in Keflavík, near a few eateries. What a surprise it was though, to find out that the hotel reception is not staffed. At all, during any point in time. You have to call a number to get access code to property. The restaurant, bar, and cafe weren’t open though the person on the phone providing the access code said that they should be. Turns out the hours are super limited. The room itself had a nice view and was large enough, but there were stairs between sleeping area and bathroom. The area around the hotel, including the adjacent museum, was pretty dead. Wouldn’t stay there again.

The hotel was good There is no staff. We self checked in. There is no airport shuttle, we rented a car at the airport. Drove to Reykjavik for dinner, that worked well

Needed a lot of cleaning in the balcony There were few old beer cans and glass bottles that seemed to have been there for months. Overpriced but convenient location. Restaurant was decent with relaxing views, where the locals would be frequenting as well.

No sheets/pillow for pull out bed. No shower gel or shampoo. Only three little hair conditioner bottles (which couldn't be used). No staff.

This is a self check in hotel and there is no one onsite. At 2:30 the fire alarms were ringing and we all ended up outside in the parking lot. No fire trucks arrived and no one from the hotel management. We had to call the manager and wait for him to arrive. 45 minutes outside in the cold. No fire and no action by the hotel. Poor service. Someone should have been there as soon as the alarms rang. Not the clients responsibility to call. The hotel was not great and the alarm made it worse. What would happen if there was a real fire. Were we to call the fire department
