Housekeeping is an issue. My stay was without housekeeping BUT the kitchen inventory was missing bowls and some cutlery on arrival. After mentioning to staff and a promise to fix, this was never done in a 5 day stay. TV had audio assist turned on without an obvious way to turn off and staff sent to remedy had no idea about anything. This was my third stay in a hotel owned by this chain over the last 6 months, mainly for the kitchen convenience - 2 Oaks (Auckland and Geelong) and this Avani in Melbourne CBD. All had these same issues. Housekeeping staff don't know what to do! Or don't care. This is a middle management or even upper operational management issue apparent across the hotel chain geographically so that says pretty clearly that it's a systematic issue. If familiar with global fast food chains, it's similar to the tight management structure of a certain hamburger chain contrastint with a certain messy chicken chain. These hotels fit into the latter. You might get something OK but the edges will be "rough".

My recent 2 week stay at Avani Melbourne Jazz Corner Residences honestly couldn’t be faulted. The location, convenience and affordability are unmatched, especially for longer work trips. The serviced apartments are comfortable, practical and well maintained, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. What really stood out though was the team. Every staff member was friendly, accommodating and always happy to help with anything needed throughout my stay. This will absolutely be my go-to accommodation for future work trips to Melbourne. Highly recommend.

Very happy with staff and how helpful they were especially Angel who did a very good job and went beyond what was expected in customer service.

As soon as we walked through the doors our experience was great. ~ Easy fast check in with all our requests responded to. ~ Quiet room on a high floor with very comfortable beds and especially good pillows. ~ spotlessly clean, abundant tea and coffee and also bathroom items. ~ Really efficient and professional reception staff in a busy establishment. ~ Newly renovated room and unblemished furniture. Overall we were so happy and pleased with everything in our two night stay. Would come back again and again.

The lady at reception was very welcoming and helpful. The room is spacious, well resourced, exceedingly clean and tidy. It is quiet and secure. I would happily stay here again. Thank you.
