Basic hotel, fine for the cost. Rooms on the front suffer from noise of automatic bollard warnings! Bring your ear plugs if you can't get a room on the back.

Toilet was dirty and the room stank with the windows closed

The location of this hotel can't be beat! The castle, stadium and tons of shops/restaurants were all within walking distance. The staff was so kind and helpful. However, the rooms were quite dingy and they dont allow you to take your room key out of the hotel.

The location was amazing and the staff were superb. We had a bit of an issue with the shower, the bathroom did need a bit of maintenance which they were going to attend to but it didn't spoil our stay. Excellent value for money. Thanks to everyone.

Loved our stay at the Sandringham Hotel in Cardiff! Everyone we interacted with at the property was so helpful and kind, and really made us feel at home there. You can't beat the location since it's right there on St. Mary's, but it did get a little noisy on Saturday night. If you want a quieter evening, ask for a room at the back of the hotel (ours overlooked St. Mary's). This is a wonderfully functional hotel; it had everything we needed; we were hardly in our room except to sleep. It is not a luxury hotel, but it is clean and safe, and the price was perfect and was exactly what we were looking for. No lift, so if stairs aren't your thing, be forewarned. There was a sign on the stairs reminding us we burned 8 calories every time we walked up the two floors! :)

Super location, great value, not luxury accomodations but absolutely worth booking a stay if you're on a budget
