Great location and they gave us a lift to the train station. Of you tell them before they can pick up too.

The hotel was sort of a hybrid between a large hotel with ammenities and a small traditional ryokan. If you are looking for the most traditional ryokan, I'm sure you can find something more to that taste. The room was great - very large with sliding doors separating the spaces. Breakfast was good. I didn't eat dinner. I stayed 2 nights and it was great to be on Miyajima early morning and night. If you decide not to include breakfast, Miyajima does have good breakfast options and of course many dinner ones.

This was a lovely property, all be it a little bit of a hike to get to from the ferry with luggage. We didn’t know when we would be arriving time wise so we couldn’t pre advise the hotel staff who have a shuttle service available. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. This was our second time staying in a ryokan so we had some idea of what to expect. We lovely the smell of the tatami mats and the feel of the, underfoot. But for those unaware, the traditional futon you sleep on is barely a couple of inches thick and laid straight onto the mats. We were fortunate with this one that there were spares in the cupboard so we each had 2-3 mats each, plus used every single spare bit of sleeping material (quilts, pillows, etc) to try and bolster up the beds. It was better, but my goodness, at the end of the day you still feel like you are just sleeping on the floor. Unless you have a particularly light and tiny frame, be prepared for a poor night sleep. Otherwise, great location and everyth8ng was very clean. The view was also amazing!

The shower pressure is excellent All stuff are kind and welcome feel The location near seaport and convenience store , Lawson . We stay a Japanese style room was a nice and clean . You can see a retro Japanese style bath tub and bathroom . My son and I have a good experience !

It was a wide traditional tadami room. The wash stand is too short for us (I am 174 cm tall and my wife is 166 cm tall). Except that, traditional Japanese gaisheki dinner and breakfast were excellent. Especially, the miso soup with clam at breakfast was great, the best taste that we experienced during the Hiroshima trip.

Hotel was easily walkable from the ferry with a little hill at the very end. Very nice room and super nice staff. The Ryokan had more of a corporate feel but still nice. If I were to plan my trip to Japan all over I wouldn't spend the night on Miyajima and would instead just make the island a long day trip. This was my most expensive hotel of my two week trip and while nice, clean, and a good traditional breakfast I don't think it was worth the money.

Beautifull, clean, close to historic side.

Beautiful traditional tatami hotel. You pay a huge premium for staying on Miyajima and it’s worth every penny. Lovely staff. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but found several lovely places nearby.

The hotel was very nice. The staff from the front desk to the dining were TERRIFIC, especially the main person at the dining rooms. Everyone was cordial and informative.
