Best stay ever!

El SPA que nos incluyo una hora en la reserva fue espectacular, las vistas de Matera desde el balcón de la habitación increíbles, el personal muy amable y dispuestos siempre.

We found Hotel Aquatio to be a unique and truly special place — a perfect blend of luxury, history, and thoughtful modern design. The architecture and cave interiors are stunning, and every corner feels carefully considered. The service was exceptional throughout our stay. Everyone we met — from reception to the spa team, the restaurant staff, and even the cleaners — was consistently friendly, warm, and genuinely helpful. It made the whole stay feel relaxed and welcoming. The spa and pool were a real highlight. Swimming in the atmospheric cave pool was unforgettable — calming, beautiful, and unlike anything we’ve experienced before. Overall, Aquatio is a luxurious, beautifully designed hotel with outstanding service and a truly memorable atmosphere. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it.

Excellent experience staying in a beautiful cave that was close walking distance to everything with excellent staff throughout and a great spa.

This is such a unique property to stay at. We were so impressed with our room. The location is central for walking to restaurants, bars and tourist attractions. We had a car so we used a parking lot the hotel recommended with security at the bottom of the hill as you cannot drive in the old city. It was so easy and they shuttled us directly to the hotel. Do not miss the spa. We spend 90 minutes between the pool, sauna and steam, as well, I did a 90 minute massage, facial and leg treatment that was AMAZING! We travel the world and this was definitely one of our favorites and would highly recommend it!

The spa and underground pool and sauna/steam room is wonderful and you get an allocated hour pre booked. Rooms are stylish and slept well. Shower room tiles were slippery when wet take care, ask for a shower mat which they will drop off.

El Hotel estaba bien ubicado , muy lindo y totalmente adaptado a un lujo rustico pero muy còmodo y con todas las cosas que necsitas para hacer de tu estadìa una experiencia inolvidable! Altamente recomendado!
