Beautiful Hotel under renewal. I bet it will end up beautifully. Drinking Water should be a courtesy, as at least 1 coffee cup for guests. My room had just been renewed, & still needed mantainance to check bath valves for the shower.

Room could’ve been cleaner and smell fresher. Staff was okay but dry, everyone seemed tired and worn out. For the amount I paid for a one night stay I could’ve gotten a lot better. Plus the parking was horrible. They had valet but you could barely get to the front of the hotel because the hotel is in the middle of a busy street and the front entrance has construction going on. Also the valet parking was in a sketchy looking parking lot on side the hotel with a huge sign that said they wouldn’t be responsible for your car being broken into.

My nightly room rate was $262.55 for three nights, plus any incidental charges. However, my credit card was charged $262.55, $262.55, and $654.40 for the third night, a total overcharge of $391.85. I contacted the hotel immediately. The front desk staff tried to help, but the manager refused to take my call, never returned my messages, and would not respond despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue. Ultimately, I had to dispute the charge through my bank. To make matters worse, I needed to store my luggage at the front desk for about an hour after checkout and was charged $35. I've stayed at many hotels and have never been charged simply to hold my bags for a short period. Based on my experience with the billing issues, lack of management response, and unexpected fees, I would not stay here again. There are plenty of other excellent hotel options in Houston.

Great place to stay

Janáe at the front desk was absolutely amazing… she was so patient with me when my card was having issues. Room was amazing… the bed was comfortable and the pillows were great, the thing my son liked the most was the mirror in the bathroom had Bluetooth connectivity.

This is my favorite hotel for doing business in Houston. Reasonably priced. Has a really cool "vibe". I like that it's a historical building with fun nods to the past like the mail chutes that they left in place next to the elevators. It's a perfect distance to the convention center so that I have a nice little walk (less than ten minutes) before the convention. I usually hit Common Grounds coffee shop on my way there.
