Our favorite hotel on Luxor, beautiful sunset views with the Nile as your back drop. The staff was so helpful and nice. They gave us the option of 2 different rooms, which my wife loved. The Italian restaurant on the main floor was our best meal in Egypt. 5 mins from Luxor Temple, 25 mins from Valley of the Kings.

I enjoyed my stay in Luxor, Egypt at Sonestra Hotel. Staff at the hotel always approached with kindness and helpfulness. Thank you so much for making my stay enjoyable.

The room was nice with a beautiful view of the Nile. Mohammed at the front desk was very helpful and accommodated us. They also made our anniversary special. Although there is work currently being done near the pool area, it was still a lovely stay.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Sonesta St. George Hotel Luxor. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with refreshing welcome drinks and excellent service. They even surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade, which was a wonderful gesture and made our stay even more special. The room was spacious, very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We also had a beautiful view of the Nile River, which made our stay even more memorable. The hotel’s location is excellent, making it easy to explore Luxor and enjoy the nearby attractions. We had dinner at the Japanese restaurant, and it was a great experience. The waiter, server, and chef were all friendly, professional, and attentive, and the food was excellent. The complimentary breakfast was also very good, with a wide variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day. The only downside during our stay was the ongoing construction around the pool and courtyard area. While we understand the hotel is making improvements, the constant construction noise throughout the day made it difficult to relax and enjoy the pool during our one-night stay. Overall, the excellent hospitality, comfortable accommodations, beautiful Nile views, great dining experience, delicious breakfast, and convenient location far outweighed the temporary inconvenience. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Luxor, especially once the renovation work is complete.

Great view of the Nile and surrounding areas. The pool area was clean and the pool was very inviting on a hot day! The pool staff was helpful with towels, food and drinks. Rooms were clean, organized and and had everything that was needed.

The hotel is good, however the royal suite was not really royal - the beds are basically 2 individual beds out together, so there is a whole in the middle of the bed and it’s very uncomfortable to sleep there. The A/C was not getting below 24C and so it was pretty hot to sleep in sometimes.

Beware at check in. Check in person initially put us in downgraded room- after stating that he was upgrading the room-(twin beds, no view of river when booking was for king bed river view. ) After getting to tiny twin bed room, I complained and was put in appropriate room which was right across the hall. Hotel is very nice and clean and rest of stay was fine. I would stay there again despite the slimy check in.
