We stayed at Hotel Von for our first two nights in Reykjavik before heading out on our 12-day Ring Road adventure. This was a great home base for those first two days as it was extremely convenient getting from KEF and for roaming around Reykjavik. It was also a nice location for when we did the Golden Circle and were gone from 7AM until about midnight. Accommodations were clean, rooms slightly small (but perfect for us), and great location for being able to see the sites / take in a few restaurants downtown. We'd definitely stay again if we ever get back to Reykjavik.

Nice hotel with a super convenient location. Was upgraded to a larger room. Noise can be a slight issue, but the window dampened the foot traffic noise quite well.

The location is perfect for exploring downtown. The only issue are the doors slam easily. So during the night you can hear other guest comming and going. Other thank that, it was a very nice stay. Thanks David B

The location of the hotel is convenient to stores and bus stop 9 and 11. for the price we paid ($350 a night). There was nothing offered with it. No fridge in the room, no water. I asked the front desk for a glass if ice as there are no ice machines and I was told the kitchen was too busy The black out curtains didn’t block out the sun (we were there June 11th, so 21 hours of sun) and the way the curtain are the sun lights of the room at the top There is no AC and when opening the window we had some type of machine running. Making a lot of noise and they had a private party at the hotel so we were not able to get any food at night and they were very loud The bed make a noise every time you moved. Neither one of us sleep most of the night. I would not recommend this hotel because the lack of basic things you normally get, the mold on the wall, and the rude front desk staff.

Great from start to finish. Early check in was available on my arrival. Front desk staff very helpful. Great location.

Excellent hotel in a great location!

Great location in the center of Reykjavik. Nice boutique-style with with decent size room, and plenty comfortable. Only thing lacking was coffee in the room.

Did not come with a refrigerator and as you know in Iceland everything is expensive. We had some cheeses, prosciutto, han, milk and yogurt and had to toss it as this hotel did not come with this amenity. There was absolutely no view from our window and the hallways are very dark, which does kind of add to the appeal. I would recommend center hotels over this place any day.
