Centrally located downtown within walking distance to various attractions, including Powell’s Books (of course), The Portland Art Museum and the farmer’s market on the campus of Portland State. Nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff, lively lobby bar and good complimentary coffee by the registration area. Valet parking was also solid. We enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed the lobby, it offered a pool table and other games to play, there is also a bar. We loved the option of pre ordering our breakfast the night before so it can be delivered in the morning. We also loved that check out was at 12pm. It gave us enough time to enjoy the morning and pack. They also offered to hold our luggage after checking out, in case we wanted to do other activities before heading to the airport.

Our stay at the Kimpton in Portland, OR was a mixed bag. The good: the restaurants and bar were great, the desk staff were uniformly friendly and helpful, the location was great, and the complimentary coffee, tea and water in the lobby were a welcome place for refreshment. The not so good: for $300 per night, we expected a better maintained room. The bathroom door hit the toilet so it couldn’t be fully opened. The safe door wouldn’t open all the way, either, making getting things in and out of it difficult. There was poorly applied caulk in the shower and touch up paint that didn’t match the ceiling. The bathtub spout was loose. The towel rack was loose. There were a couple of hairs in the shower that weren’t ours. And even though we booked a room for two, there was only one robe in the closet. It wasn’t awful, but we expected more from Kimpton, especially at this price point.

Great location nice happy hour from 5 to 6 clean hotel would definitely stay again.

This place is in a great location, staff is super friendly and helpful, cocktails at the bar were fantastic. Couldn’t ask for a better stay

Our room was nice & big with a comfy king size bed. Location convenient in downtown.

Room was clean, but needs to be renovated or at least repaired in a few spots. The hot tub was nice and relaxing, needs a deep clean. The in-service breakfast was very disappointed. The portion sizes are not worth the prices at all. The yogurt parfait was $14 for about 2 scoops of yogurt. Orange juice was watered down. Overall would not recommend this hotel.

The staff promoted and were a part of the property.Well planned for an excellent experience.Wine social where one can enjoy other travelers, very comfortable rooms with special thought to comfort and decor…We will return, always.
