This is a hotel that needs a renovation. Not only are the rooms/bathrooms outdated but the bed seemed past its life (much too soft), and towels were thin and dirty looking.
The location is good, and the breakfast at the restaurant was fine (restaurant looked like it had been renovated). However, how this hotel receives 4 stars makes me question who is writing the reviews.

Great location, friendly staff, nice size room. Decor was a bit dated and the mini fridge in the room leaked on our food we had to throw it out. Walking distance to MIT and Harvard.

The facility is clean, contemporary, and in a nice neighborhood. My husband and I enjoyed walking over the Charles river on our way to Fenway Park for a red sox game. Breakfast buffet was of good quality for $25 and a good start to our days of walking and hiking. Universities such as MIT are nearby,
