Friendly and polite staff

I can only thank the kitchen staff who prepare our breakfast: Simon and the helpful ladies. Housekeepers were great as well. But the front desk staff is a big zero; they greet and show you around respectfully but something changes in their behavior and look always upset. One of them even told me that probably hostels are not for me when I asked him for earplugs. Another one looked upset and didn't even want to help me find directions. What is a front desk for? Besides, a smile doesn't cost anything and remains compulsory and necessary in this kind of business. Get some professional training please. Thank you Simon and kitchen + housekeeping staff.

Kantar Hostel was great, overall. Located within the area of Republic Square. Staffs was

Elevator to reception and other floors. Good security. Key card access to in-room lockers. Bathrooms are a bit cramped but kept clean. Spray nozzle next to toilet. Kind and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Good vibe and opportunities to meet fellows travelers. Close to Republic Square. (Same building as Tropicana Hotel) Convenience grocery stores nearby.

Exceptionally well run hotel. Staff is incredible, beds are comfy, quiet, breakfast is excellent and the location is perfect. It happens to be well priced too.

Wonderful staff, especially with the lovely women who prepared the amazing breakfast. They sang while they were cooking. Such a happy place. The reason for 4 versus 5 stars is the bathroom. Needs a good cleanings. Shower curtain should be washed and tiles in the bathroom clean.

Kantar is not men of the best Hostels you can ever stay in. The location is quite convenient and the place is always clean.

My stay was so good I extended it two nights, then I went to Sevan Lake and came back for another one night.

It was good but the water got shut down at the last day so couldnt use the toilet for 12 hours

The hostel is located in a fantastic place very close to the main square. Everything is easily accessible from the hostel, be it the best restaurants, cafes or bars in the city. The breakfast at the hostel is excellent and will not disappoint you at all. Overall I had a fantastic experience and will definitely recommend anyone wanting to stay in Yerevan on a budget while having a very comfortable stay as well.
