Only an overnight stay ,this time , but we will be back for an extended stay. Our room was very comfortable and the bed was great. The whole place was warm . The dining area and food was 1st class.

We paid extra for a "premium ensuite room" but were very disappointed with what we got. The room was tiny and didnt even have a chair or television. We didnt even stay the night and checked out not long after checking in.

We took room with an ensuite. While they're very small, it does the job. There is no a/C which we knew about, but thankfully it was a cool night or it'd be very hot. Winter has heating. Now, if you can sleep through trains, yep more than one at night, then definitely stay here. It's a great old style Scottish themed pub, yes it's creaky and like a rabbit warren finding rooms (not that hard, good signage) and the food was very good. Great price and worth the visit.
