Staff very friendly and welcoming at both check-in and check-out. The superior double room was a great size with a lovely fireplace and chairs in the window as well as a desk and chair. The bed was very comfy and a good night's sleep was had. The room was very clean and even had a fan to help keep cool. Overall a fantastic stay. Thank you.

A good value hotel just a couple of minutes walk from Haymarket train and tram stop. Our room was street-facing so a bit noisy, especially when traffic went over the drain covers on Haymarket Terrace (obviously no fault of the hotel!). The room was spacious as was the bathroom, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We booked on room only basis so cannot comment on thd breakfast. The bar area was pleasant for a nightcap, with a reasonable choice of drinks available.

This is a beautiful hotel in Edinburgh. Within walking distances to cafes, bakeries, restaurants, pubs and the Haymarket station. Would definitely book here again.

Hotel was nice. Older building so no lift. Shower had good pressure but pipes squealed really loud when we showered in the morning. Felt bad for the other guests. Room was clean. Bed was rather hard though.

A clean and comfortable hotel. However, if like me you have heavy check-in luggage best avoided. The rooms are spread across a number of imposing large Victorian-era houses and don’t have lifts, so baggage has to be hand carried up entrance steps (to check in),then down them again to the street, along the street, up more entrance steps, then up three flights of stairs. Not for the faint hearted!

Wasnt the nicest place the parking was a nightmare and the bed was like sleeping on just the box springs also found hair in bed that wasn’t mine and the tv did not work will not be staying there again

We had an enjoyable stay. The room was clean, spacious, and cozy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to train, bus, and tram connections. Highly recommended.

Unique rooms and very helpful staff. There are no elevators and one staff member carried our luggage up four flights of stairs. The mattresses were a little on the hard side. Location was great, walking distance to Dean village and close to tram so able to get into old town. Within walking distance to the old pub “The Ryrie” as well.

Had a great time

Great location especially for Buses, Train and trams. Great staff especially Mex. Breakfast was good. But there are no lifts and lots of stairs. We'd stay again but on ground floor.. Also this hotel is split over 5 buildings but staff are extremely helpful. Beds weren't the most comfortable..time for new mattresses. Can be noisy at times due to traffic
