We liked the location near Yosemite but the staff were ‘cold’ seemingly distracted while servicing you the rooms were outdated with broken sink drains and dilapidated refrigerator our room location was at the most isolated and ‘sketchy’ place on property despite early booking and the dining restaurant was expensive yet the food was not worthy of the price if I had to we would stay there again just for the night.

Failed to clean our room after our request. Restaurant have very limited selections. Staff not very helpful.

My go to hotel when visiting Yosemite. Love the location, quiet, has a restaurant onsite with many options and overall a wonderful stay each and every time.

Outdated, but it was what I expected. Helpful staff and clean. Great access to Yosemite!

Only drawback was parking. Besides that, it was great.👍

We started a trip to Yosemite National Park and decided to stay at this hotel. We never expected to have such a horrible experience. The bed was completely covered with hair, including the pillows. It was obvious that the sheets had not been changed. Disgusting. This has never happened to me at any other hotel. This was completely unacceptable and very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel.

We visited Yosemite Park, and the hotel was 25 minutes away from the park, so it was very convenient. The restaurant had only one person working there (it seemed they were short-staffed), but even so, the woman who was there did her best and served us kindly. The sofa bed is terrible—very uncomfortable, and there were no extra sheets or blankets. Cleanliness was okay. For one night, it wasn't bad.

This hotel is old and not well maintained. The room was globally clean but you can quickly spot some dirt on the walls, especially in the bathroom. The bed was old and not confortable. It doesn’t worth the price of the room. This hotel is only interesting because it’s not far from the Yosemite entrance.

I am in El Portal regularly doing work for the National Parks Service, Yosemite. Every time I stay at this hotel, it seems to be improved. The rooms are nicer with clean updated bathrooms and the good beds. There are several buildings and the company has been updated them one at a time. I've stayed in half the buildings and the half that I've stayed in have updated rooms. Each update seems a bit nicer than the last. I will continue to stay at this hotel when in El Portal. Now if they could just improve the food options...
