Wonderful staff, room and grounds. Great for visiting Sarawak Cultural Village, climbing the nearby mountain and strollinv the each nearby.

The staff were lovely. Loved the common areas with little nooks and crannies all around to chill out. Pool was a lovely temp and big enough to swim laps. Only problem was food. Nothing was open anywhere nearby, which wouldn't have been a problem if they had any food. Unfortunately, during our stay, they hardly had any of the food available off the, already very limited and expensive, menu. Also, no cupboards/draws to put any of your clothes. Also, bear in mind that airport transfers are charged at 170R rather than pre-booking a Grab which costs 70R.

Village House is a restful haven. The rooms are charming and comfortable. The shared spaces are welcoming. And the pool is heavenly. Warm, friendly staff can't do enough for you. The location is a bit remote if you don't have a car. It's not too far from Sarawak Cultural Village, but you'll need a taxi/grab to eat anywhere else or explore the area.

It is difficult to maintain a property like this -- with lots of wood, plants etc but this place has done it very well. Rarely any mosquitoes, rooms and bathroom were clean, common area were clean and spacious. Shower pressure and heater were working fine which helps after a long day out in national parks. Drive in was a little daunting but after a while we got used to it. Food options in menu could be better but Kuching is a food paradise so we drove out to eat a lot.

Can replace rusty equipment should be ok.

Nice boutique hotel with quiet environment. Delicious food too.. overall we like it very much n satisfied with our stay.

Staffs friendly, room clean, but transportation not so convenient, may be can consider provide bike/bicycle to Damai Beach.
