Had drank finished my room complimentary bottle water. After dinner before going up to room, I went to the front desk to request for a bottle of mineral water. Was shocked that the front desk staff told us to drink from the tap. If don’t like can buy from vending machine.

The Quintessa is an older hotel but comfortable with good value. My queen double was spacious and had a great view from the large windows.
Breakfast is above average with a focus of Japanese dishes.
The hotel is a great departure point to explore the canals around the City Hall and Ogaki Castle. There are 29 natrual springs in Ogaki, 3 are located in front of the station. Nobody drinks from them--but they were the highlight of my trip. The water is cold and sweet! I filled up my water bottle every day.
