Nice place with nice staff

I loved that you could check in after hours! We had a late flight. It was appreciated.

Staff were helpful in communication pre-visit. However, the limited staffed hours of 9am-4pm (Mon to Fri only) at the Hostel did not work for me as there was no opportunity to discuss issues given that tours required an early start and late arrival back to the hostel, and my arrival to Reykjavik and departure from Reykjavik fell outside staffed hours. The major disappointments were that I was allocated a mixed dorm when I had booked a female dorm, and the mattress was the most uncomfortable I have ever encountered. The metal springs were prominent by just running a hand across the surface. And, I had booked the Bus Hostel based on the understanding that tours/airport transfers departed from this terminal, only to discover that they had shifted to another location.

The lack of staff after 4pm and on weekends.

Cleaning staff did a good job keeping the place clean. Guests were good in maintaining cleanliness. Room was clean. Amenities were good. Had adequate sockets for charging devices. Negative was as the hostel was at a bus parking, there might be multiple bus startings in the middle of the night. Also, as our room faced the front of the building, noise from people there easily propagated into our room.

I stayed in the mixed dorm as a solo female- no problems at all. The whole check-in process is no contact. Make sure to bring your own towel since the hours are limited to rent one,… the office is closed on the weekends and only open from 9-4 M-F. This was a great location to get picked up for tours. Would absolutely stay there again.

Clean and quiet. Lovely time!

Modern and clean however a bit far out of town

The individual room for two persons was very small. But facility is okay.
