Lovely country house, beautifully decorated. Our room had views to the lake. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful, breakfast staff not so much. Didn’t have dinner at the restaurant, but breakfast was nice and the hot food cooked to order. Just to note there’s no fridge in the rooms, I guess most guests either eat all meals onsite or head out.

We stayed here for one night, half board. The location is fantastic, with amazing views and a short walk to the lakeside. We enjoyed both meals very much, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The bars and restaurants were nicely furnished and clean, and our room was a good size. We had a lovely weekend break and would definitely stay here again.

The ambiance and area where the hotel is situated was quiet and tranquil, which helped towards a comfortable stay. Helpful and friendly staff on hand.
However the stairs up to the room can be a little narrow and the room itself was too small. A standard room in a budget hotel like Travelodge or Premier Inn feels much bigger and spacious than our room.
Overall, I would consider staying again – but ideally in a larger room.

Nice stay excellent food , very good quality, the grill menu was good and was surprised by the high standards provided, decent rooms , showers abit hit and miss but wouldn’t let that put anyone off , great staff and nice people who are very friendly
Local to lake Windermere excellent for country walks ..highly recommended

everything was clean and spotless , first night we had a meal in the restaurant which was was very , retread back to the bar which had a great hot open fire , are room was spotless and the staff where friendly and helpful , will return at some stage , highly recommend
