The staff went above and beyond

Good location, no elevator.

The experience was very unpleasant. There was no hot water in the bathroom to begin with and the staff was totally indifferent. Later they fixed it but the hot water remained a problem throughout as it was sometimes available, other times it was not. Then the housekeeping - in one room they were proper, but in the second room they never cleaned for 2 nights or replenished the water bottles until it was notified. Finally very unpleasant experience during check out. They deducted a big sum from the security deposit claiming that we consumed stuff from the minibar. In reality nothing was consumed but the staff was rude, adamant and not open to understand. I lost that money for nothing. The hotel is not good for tourists as the staff cannot even understand basic English or are willing to cooperate. A strong no - no for anyone travelling to Almaty.

Simple, great location however room size is super small. Difficult to move around with luggage, no elevator so pack lite. Good breakfast
