It was such a heart warning stay. Loved the host and family’s reception and kindness. The location is perfect, away from the noisy part of the town and yet, on the most beautiful back street, with creek and stone bridge right in the front. Will certainly come back next time in Lijiang.

This former home is a gorgeous place to experience the history of Lijaing. Amy the proprietress is very thoughtful and gracious.

Un hotel súper recomendado te hacen sentir como En casa!! Definitivamente me volvería a quedar aquí. Un hotel super limpio y muy bien ubicado en el centro de todo. Amie definitivamente una gran anfitriona. Fue una muy buena experiencia

The staff were incredible. It was beautiful place to stay and located in a great area. I highly recommend people to stay here. You won’t find a sweeter staff. It is very clean and has a small pond with Koi surrounding the rooms with soothing water running to give a wonderful ambiance.

Excellent hotel. Large room with two large beds with firm mattress. Staff excellent, great location.

Wonderful 2-night stay here in January. Beautiful hotel and amazing location inside the ancient town. The proprietor Amy spoke excellent English and was super kind. Always making us tea. Breakfast was simple, but very good. I will definitely stay here again when I return.

Great location. Great staff. Beautiful historic property and room amenities.

staff very helpful and courteous. Rooms are clean some amenities need improvement.

Reserved this place over other five star luxury modern hotels in the area because our business traveling group wanted a more local, authentic experience. We had high expectations which were exceeded. Situated in aruguably the best and quieter part of Old Town close to a preschool, Amy the owner was a wonderful host who made you feel like you are at home and kindly upgraded us to rooms with breathtaking views of the canal and mountain. We had an amazing and enchanting experience and marked this as a place to definitely revist with our friends and families later in the future!

We had an AMAZING time. We were so pleasantly surprised to learn this hotel is actually owned by the same family for over 100 years. It truly feels like you are staying with family. The Chinese breakfast was excellent (the baba was my favorite) - they also have Western style breakfast. Amy was so helpful in helping us make restaurant reservations, and great recommendations. We even did a free tea tasting and bought a lot of excellent tea. Truly a wonderful time, could not recommend it enough! The room was clean and perfect. The location is excellent as well. There even is free laundry on site!
