The property is small and very comfortable. It's located in Bo Kaep, a lovely neighborhood known for its colorful houses and Muslim community. It's walkable to the waterfront and other places. The rooms are suites, with kitchen and sitting areas. Besides being well maintained and having a great breakfast included, the staff is excellent. Every person I met was friendly and helpful. They made a point of introducing themselves and making me feel at home. The manager, Jean-Pierre, let me stay late in the room as it is low season and no one was booked in the room. I prefer the small boutique hotels to the large chains. This one is one of the best I've stayed in.

always stay at Rouge on Rose when I am in Cape Town. A fabulous boutique hotel with great attention to detail. The rooms are stylishly decorated and roomy size. Beautifully maintained. And the breakfast is beautifully presented and so yummy. Great location close to wonderful restaurants and very safe area for walking around. Nice hill and city views from the rooms too

The room was large and clean. Also breakfast was pretty great. The fresh OJ was amazing.

We loved our stay at the Rouge on Rose Boutique Hotel! Our room was beautiful and spacious, and both the room and the hotel were super clean. Jean Pierre and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our entire visit. The cook-to-order breakfasts were delicious and clearly made with the freshest ingredients. We also really enjoyed the Bo-Kaap neighborhood; it was a great choice—vibrant, centrally located, and with a wide selection of fantastic restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is a unique and interesting space with lots of fascinating art, making it feel very personal and not at all like a corporate hotel. Most importantly, we always felt safe and secure during our stay. We highly recommend this boutique gem!

The room was fantastic and the view was amazing. The location was great and close to so many great restaurants and perfectly situated in Bo-Kaap. There is always someone on staff and I felt safe during my stay.

This property is in the old section of Cape Town and next to Bo Kaap. We had a room on the first floor. It was very spacious with contemporary decor. Bed was large and comfortable. The comforter was heavy and we got warm at night even setting the AC to 17. Breakfast was delicious. Very limited parking but host and staff arranged for street parking with security. Michel is a fantastic host with lots of good information. Not too many amenities.
