超讚 The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The staff at the front desk were friendly and courteous. I did enjoy my stay at this hotel. I love the layout of this hotel.
This hotel has a lot of potential to be much better. it just needs some good TLC and a face-lift. The grounds is very huge and clean, however, I am an enthusiast for nice green grass, so there were areas where it can be better.
The breakfast was very good. The food was on point. The seating area was clean and maintained nicely with friendly and accommodating staff.
I know the sea-weed is an eyesore and the odor is terrible. Something has to be done to get that under control. I saw it at many places during my short visit to the island, so it's not just at that hotel and I get it.
The furniture in the reception area need to be replaced/updated.
As I stated, some TLC and a nice face-lift will surely enhance this hotel to be above the cut.

Could not swim in the sea because of the sargassam seaweed which also brought a smell to the vicinity. Main pool opened at 8am so could not get 8n an early morning swim. Breakfast was limited to mostly local cuisine such as salt fish. Egg station was good and offered options. Cereal was limited to oats. Fruits was limited to a selection of 2 fruits.
Upper walkway to room was closed due to erosion.

The property is aging - the main pool remained closed during our stay. There were no working ice machines - If you run the hot water it starts to come out brown. The patio furniture is broken and outdated and parts of the structure itself was falling apart. I would not recommend staying here at this price point.

The hotel is in much need of a total overhaul. The staff was as helpful as possible but during our stay, were having a lot of resort issues.

The only thing positive about this resort is the staff. They advertised that they had multiple different shuttle services available but when we got there it was taxi service that we had to pay out of our pocket. The smell of the property was terrible due to the Sea Weed. The main pool was closed. I am very disappointed and will not ever choose this resort in the future.

Firstly the staff were really helpful and pleasant. But the property itself has become outdated and has not been kept up to standard as the rooms were dirty and the bathrooms were very dated and was not well cleaned. Breakfast was good and the stores on the compound were great.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort. Considering the premium price we paid, the experience was far below acceptable standards.
The property is clearly not being properly maintained. There were broken balustrades around the resort, and several areas were inaccessible because sections of the ceiling had fallen out. This created an impression of neglect and poor upkeep throughout the property.
The room itself had a persistent musty smell, which made it feel damp and unpleasant from the moment we arrived. Things became even worse when we left the room and returned to find that something had been nibbling at snacks we had left on the table. Later that same day, we discovered a mouse in the room. After reporting the issue, we were relocated to another room just a few doors away, only to encounter the exact same problem again.
To add to the disappointment, the beach was covered with large amounts of seaweed, making the sea uninviting and essentially unbathable during our stay.
For the price charged by this resort, these conditions are completely unacceptable. The only positive aspect of our stay was the breakfast, which was enjoyable and offered a good selection. Unfortunately, that was not enough to make up for the poor maintenance, unpleasant rooms, rodent issue, and unusable beach.
I would not recommend this resort and would not choose to stay here again.
