Overall, we had a nice time. Booked as I had always wanted to stay on the Sunborn and we were going to a concert at the 02 so it was convenient. Room was fine - we booked an executive king river view. Small balcony with chairs but you could only see the river if you stood up. Bathroom basic and lacked touches like shower cap etc. Boat was beautiful with large staircase in centre- stunning. Staff were pleasant and helpful- special call out to Luca on reception. We went for a drink on 5th floor bar and discovered how corporate the boat was when approximately 60 people converged in, with free drinks for them and high noise levels which spoiled both the view and ambience. There was something on at Excel and Sunborn were hosting an event for them which lasted from 5-11pm. We went to 5th floor bar outside at 11.15 pm and had lovely view of 02 and surrounding lit up buildings- favourite part of our stay. Breakfast was the most disappointing- totally self service with items that had been cooked possibly 2 hours earlier being left warm. We did ask for fresh eggs as the fried ones were hard, but when a fresh dish came out they were the same. Tip- get to breakfast early! Pastries were not fresh. Would we stay again? Probably not.

When we arrived it was slightly early but our room was ready and we were given an upgrade to a free breakfast, which was delicious! The choice of food was excellent. The hotel was a beautiful boat, felt very sumptuous and the room was enormous!! It was double the size of a normal London hotel room. I would happily stay at The Sunborn again and would highly recommend staying there.

Amazing yacht, very luxurious feel, absolutely no issues with the hotel experience but the dining is not to the luxury setting, food very good, service average at best. There was an event at excel when we stayed and two companies had booked out two bar areas of the yacht whilst we stayed this was frustrating as it left just an indoor resident bar that effectively was a room with zero atmosphere. Breakfast good, but runs out quickly and you are left to wait for it being replenished. Great location if visiting excel or Docklands, very close to Custom House DLR/Tube, only ten mins into central London. Nice to do something different and the cabins are spacious and luxurious.

Staff was amazing. Rooms spotless and cosy. Breakfast was wonderful.

....A terrific & unique place to stay, away from frenetic central areas of the city but with easy access to DLR etc. Cabins are spacious & with added comforts of the speciality coffee machine & the best bathrobes ever! The yacht is beautifully appointed with the accent on a relaxed stay & choice of dining. Comfortable bar & seating areas inside & out. The friendly & helpful staff complete the whole happy experience. Highly reccommend!

A shout out to the staff. The WiFi in my room was poor and unstable. When I let them know, they switched me to a new room, and called to double check that the WiFi was up to the mark. Professional and friendly service. The hotel is in a converted yacht and moored at a great location - there is lots of space all around and splendid views of the city. One does not feel boxed in as in many other hotels which are located next to other buildings.
