If you are looking for a renovated hotel with modern amenities, this isn't the place for you. That said, it has a family-friendly atmosphere and offers multiple USB charging points in the room—a huge plus in this day and age when phones and PCs need to stay fully charged. I was there for work, so I can't speak to the vacation experience. However, we still enjoyed an afternoon by the pool, sipping refreshing drinks from the adjacent Tiki bar and having dinner from the restaurant located just steps away. For a minute, I felt that I was in Hawaii because of its decor. Plenty of parking and Disability friendly.

Hello, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Handlery, the only thing I would give three stars was the restaurant staff. The service was slow and I had to ask for salad dressing salt and pepper when I ordered a salad lol that took about 10 or 15 minutes when no one else was in the restaurant. I saw numerous people returning their burgers. Otherwise I definitely would come back😊

The pool area was great! Relaxing and enough space for many. The rooms were nice, a bit of updating could happen, but overall we enjoyed the room and resort space and would stay again.

Very clear room, and no smells. We are definitely going to be staying here, every time we visit San Diego.

Not my favorite place I have ever stayed. It was okay but I would probably look elsewhere if coming to the area again. The air conditioning is not great when it’s hot out and doesn’t cool the room until it’s cool outside. The staff was friendly and the check in and check out process was easy.

I had a great stay! The staff was very helpful and friendly throughout my visit. The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable, which made it easy to relax. I also appreciated that they weren't overly strict with the rules, making the stay feel more welcoming while still being respectful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

No elevators and was not informed during reservation. The halls and stairway were really hot. Ac was super old and rattling a lot. Water pressure was really really bad in shower- worse than any other hotels i have stayed at. No ice machines one second floor and were really far from the room. Asked for an hour later checkout and was denied. Pool and reef lounge was great. Staff at reef lounge and room cleaners were great.

Nice property, nice pool, restaurant a lil pricey but decent food would definitely return
