Great location

Brand new hotel in a convenient location - easy walking distance to the station and the cathedral. Parking arrangements in the nearby Forum multi-storey worked well. Staff especially helpful while getting used to the new facility themselves. Quality of food excellent both at breakfast and for all-day dining in the ground floor open plan restaurant. Prices above average but value for money in terms of quality. We came here for the Three Choirs Festival and were pleased to find a good quality hotel within easy distance to and from the Cathedral. We were given an accessible room with additional facilities to accommodate someone with mobility issues. 5 Stars all round.

So with all the good that we enjoyed there are a few suggestions. We were 3 people staying 3 nights. RESTAURANT 12,5 % service charge AUTOMATICALLY added to your Restaurant bill, which was not advertised. Extra cheese on a burger means half cheese .... apparently that's how it comes. The air-conditioning in the restaurant is too cold morning and night - cools your food in minutes, take a jacket. There was a heat wave, but 17C outside at 830am does not need cold room temperatures. Ask staff to repeat order to you, we had a few hiccups Spire rooftop bar was great, worth a trip upstairs each evening. PARKING Q-Park is attached to the hotel, not opposite or 5 minutes away .. it's attached but costs a few pound, worth it. ROOMS are great, not huge but adequate. Cupboard space is limited, my wife used the space while I had to use my suitcase. There is a whole gap with empty space beside the wardrobe which could have more shelves or another cupboard, even just hanging space if there were more than 5 hangers. MILK - just give milk, yes it's in a little glass bottle but barely enough for a cup of brew each.( Tesco express is 30m away literally from the front door) NESCAFE Coffee pod machine - those pods take 150 years to decompose, 4 per room per day - be responsible, use Celtic coffee bags instead. Room cleaning , arrival was good, and 2nd and 3rd days was sloppy and barely made the bed, sheet was even above the mattress.

I recently stayed at Hotel Indigo Gloucester and was genuinely impressed. The hotel is spotlessly clean, beautifully modern, and thoughtfully equipped (they even provide brollies, which was such a nice touch). The reception staff were super friendly, and our waitress at dinner was lovely, making the evening feel relaxed and welcoming. Dinner itself was enjoyable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt fresh and comfortable. There were a couple of service issues worth mentioning. Breakfast was quite slow — I waited 30 minutes just for a cup of tea, and the team didn’t seem fully in sync. At one point I overheard a manager speaking sharply and dressing down an employee, which felt uncomfortable as a guest, (more so for him I’me sire). Later that evening, drinks in the restaurant took over 40 minutes to arrive, which was surprising given how good the dinner service itself was. Overall, though, this is a clean, modern, and stylish hotel with excellent staff in most areas, and I would stay again, especially if the restaurant becomes more coordinated.

Lovely hotel and food was great but the service at both dinner and breakfast was terrible. Very slow service. No system in place. Drink orders left on counter and had to remind staff of orders

This is a lovely hotel, we found the parking a little awkward and the food and drink wasn’t quite up to standard but nice enough. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms and staff nice and friendly. Did not like the wine here though :(

This is a fabulous base for exploring the Cotswolds. The staff is very helpful, and the restaurant is very good. There is also a shopping area close by (King’s Walk). The hotel car park is difficult to access. There is construction that prevents Google Maps from providing accurate directions. The front desk staff tries to give directions, but it was hard to digest. Overall the hotel room and amenities and breakfast were quite good.
