amazing place

[LOCATION IS GOLD, STAFF ARE DIAMONDS!] Our stay at The George by Hilton (built in 2025) was incredible. Being a brand-new property, everything was spotlessly clean and modern. We were new to Harlem, but the location is gold—just a 12-minute walk to Columbia/Barnard. Because of the summer heat, we took Ubers daily, but the fares were highly reasonable. It’s the ultimate choice for Columbia/Barnard families. Standard rooms are small, yes, that's true, but upgrading to a top-tier room gave us plenty of space. The amenities smelled amazing (the body lotion was a standout!), and the lobby coffee shop easily beats nearby 5-star cafes. However, the absolute best part was the heartwarming staff: Rodrigez: Utterly charismatic and professional. Eldris: Went out of her way to arrange a long-distance taxi for us. Jandell: A sweet and promising young man who walked me to a cheap local laundromat that did a better job than popular apps like Laundryheap and Rinse (I used both). I expect great things from this founding staff. Rosa Maria: A bright dancer with radiant energy. It was wonderful connecting with her as fellow working professionals, not just as "someone's mother." Front Desk Sisters & Tall Gentleman: The sisters were always professional, hilarious, and beautiful, whether in person or over the phone, and the tall gentleman was also incredibly kind. I should go back there again just to get their names properly. Genuine human connection made our trip special. 1000% coming back!

Nice hotel, but my room was beyond tiny, and I'm used to NYC hotel rooms.

smoke free property including vapes. so you'll have to use the sidewalk area since the patio on property is smoke free as well

It was perfect. Although the rooms are extra small, the ambiance was amazing. I wish the pool was opened but they are waiting for the permit. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Jadon.

Outstanding experience. Gem of a spot. Intimate set. Human scale. Hip feeling and looking. Nice energy. First choice next time around.

The hotel is modern and comfortable. The rooms were mostly quite from outside noise. The King Deluxe is pretty ideal for 1-2 people. The shower is a good size. The outdoor space and 2nd floor lounge are relaxing options outside of your immediate hotel room. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff was super friendly. My flight from Columbia was delayed, the customer service rep allowed my son to check in for me since I wouldn't be arriving until late. BEST customer service ever

I would have liked a cocktail lounge with liquor. The hotel was beautiful but the neighborhood was run down.
