The room was very very clean. Staff were very helpful and able to speak english n chinese. Suitable for a family of 4 to sleep in the same room.

We had an exceptional three night stay. We felt welcomed and cared for even before we checked in. This was our first stay at a traditional Japanese Ryokan and felt a little apprehensive about sleeping on a futon (a thin one at that). We were able to sleep through the night and well worth the experience. We felt like the staff was extremely thoughtful, like listing an activity for the day, or giving information on how to Onsen (public bath). Definitely recommend.

Everything was amazing. Specially the staff are very kind and helpful, they make you feel special. The rooms are very comfortable and ample. We were three people and it’s the most spacious room we had in our trio to Japan. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks luck you staff.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Luck you. The stuff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Everything was thought-through and we were provided with many tips and explanations. It was great to have the opportunity to experience a traditional Japanese room with futon beds. We also enjoyed the breakfast with Japanese and Western food. The view into the tiny Zen Garden is amazing. There is also the option to use a microwave and Japanese snacks are provided every evening. It was great to try those. Opposite the hotel is an Onsen that can be used and we were provided with all important information on the etiquette and also a cute basket with body soap, shampoo and conditioner. Overall we had a really great stay at this Ryokan and can totally recommend it to everyone who is up for an experience that feels way more authentic Japanese and individual than a hotel.

The room was spotless, clean pajamas every night. Breakfast had nice surprises , but simple (sandwiches and traditionalJapanese food (nothingfancy, rice, miso soup, and pickles). Far from tourist area, just 2 bus stops from the action where there's reasonable access to restaurantsand coffeeshops. If you're practicing meditation add a star, its a peaceful retreat spot My husband found it a little too small for him especially bath. Memorable for me.

Lovely traditional small hotel in Japanese style. Staff takes a special interest in guests. Quiet and calm. Great experience.

Stayed one night with my family of 3. We loved the property and the experience. My only minor issue is that there was on off-odor from the AC. We would stay again when coming back to Kyoto.
