Amazing hotel - room, restaurant, views - were all superb and very zen. We had a very enjoyable stay! The only comment is that stuff while friendly were not really fluent in English and were not able to effectively assist with restaurant reservations.

Amazing hotel, a true example of luxury with the attention to details that is the hallmark of high end Japanese hospitality. Rooms are spacious and perfectly cleaned (as is the whole hotel), great space a small natural spring onsen. Nicely located on the edge of Gion. I hope to visit again.

Our stay at Banyan Tree Higashiyama Kyoto was exceptional (4 nights). The hotel is beautifully designed and practically brand new. We loved that guests could choose from two different styles of yukata to wear during their stay. The breakfast was delicious (there are three options for breakfast and you can mix a match), the staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming, and our room was spacious, spotless, and equipped with excellent amenities. We had a wonderful experience and would gladly stay here again.

Had a wonderful time with my wife after spending 4 nights at the Banyan. Staff were warm and welcoming, room was beautiful, clean and spacious. Will be returning!

Very unique hotel, beautiful room only thing they need to improved little bit of breakfast . But everything else very nice.

For a 5 star hotel, the service is terrible. Don’t even step near the restaurant. The concierge is also pretty useless.

The room was quiet, spacious and clean. Amenities are good. Especially, the spa, breakfast and dinner are awesome. Staffs are well trained and professional. Highly recommended.
