Clean room, just no kitchen which mention in Expedia

I will continue to use this motel for overnight stays in Hamilton. My star ratings for each category speak for themselves 5/5. I would also like to add that the location, within 500m easy walking distance of the city centre, is perfect for fully enjoying the vibrant night life, and restaurants close by.

The Colonial City Motel has no onsite reception or in-room phone connection. If you want something, you have to walk across the road. The receptionist did not inform that there was 15% credit card charge and it is not written on the machine. We had a 2 bedroom unit. The beds were hard, noise from guests upstairs was clear, and there were bright outside lights that shone around the curtains all night lighting up the rooms so not ideal conditions for sleeping. There was only one towel rail - nowhere to hang clothes etc in the bathroom. On the positive side, it was clean and fresh looking having been refurbished in the last year. Parking was close to the room.

The reception staff were friendly and informative and the room was spacious. The added bonus of tv apps was great. Although there was a heat pump it struggled to keep the unit warm.due to the fact that all the floors were not carpeted. Parking was good as you could park anywhere and the motel was about a ten minutes walk to the cbd and a paknsave supermarket was within walking distance also.

Good parking, I had a trailer. Staff were excellent!

Large clean rooms, really good front of house staff and great value compared To other hotels in town. Basic but nice breakfast with good coffee, granola bars and yoghurt etc

Stayed for one night. Checked in late and left early so didn't use the room much. Everything was clean, neat and tidy. Split aircon warmed the room nicely. Beds were comfortable. If you are checking in late make sure to let them know in advance as there is no reception onsite. Good value for money.
