Our stay at Oninosumika Ryokan was amazing. Our particular room/ryokan was just as photographed. It was spacious, clean, and beautiful. Looking out into the gardens you really get a sense of how tranquil the area is and waking up hearing the birds and rain is amazing. Our private onsen was perfect, we used it multiple times a day. The staff are so kind and are very accommodating to visitors that don't speak Japanese. Their traditional Kaiseki breakfast was stunning; everything was so carefully assembled and the presentation was incredible, tasted even better. Highly recommend staying here!!

The lovely little Spa was in a quiet sleepy area with a few shops on the main road.
The room was lovely and well equipped with all the usual amenities that you need and the outside garden was lovely and relaxing to view.
The highlight of the stay was always mealtime and the service and attention of the staff was second to none they were all attentive and very helpful explaining the dishes and best way to eat some of the courses but Katatako was really great and deserves a special shout out for his service and thoughtful manner which was appreciated by us both.

We loved our stay! Although it's a little bit outside of the town, it was very peaceful and relaxing. The kaiseki dinner was a highlight! And the staff was amazing! They let us into our villa early since it was ready. Definitely worth it!

This was an amazing stay! The onsen was nice and relaxing and the breakfast was so delicious! We did forget to book dinner ahead so don't be like us or you may miss out - they need a 3 day notice in advance. The shower water was warm as well, we had no issues with it. Hospitality was also wonderful. There are good places to eat in the town about a 10 minute walk away. I recommend this place highly.
