Staff was extremely friendly, rooms were incredible, the onsen was amazing. The food was 80% good, had a few things that didn't quite land.

Great location, great room. Horrible to book off western website where there is so no meal or free transportation to airport included. Ripped off for the amount paid.

The hotel is outdated with its decor. Food was average. No shopping around the hotel.

Very friendly & helpful staff, we should learn Japanese in order to communicate better. The hotel is luxurious, a bit worn down and needs refreshing. Excellent location with free shuttle easily accessible

Very classy, excellent service. Rooms facing south are too sunny so we were moved to a better room facing north. Onsen was awesome.

This is my favorite hotel of all time! Rooms are large and comfortable. The icing is the incredible Onsen in the room. Wonderfully relaxing while looking out at the forest. The staff was helpful and friendly. Food was exceptional, a fresh array of island seafood and the meals were included! I hope to stay here again one day.

The room was amazing! Super spacious, everything in the fridge was complimentary (4 beers, 4 waters, & 2 bottled green tea), plus self grind coffee, tea, & 2 snacks. The dinner was amazing, lots of seafood, so if you're allergic be sure to let them know before you get there/book. I believe it was a 10 course meal so we were ridiculously full before dessert came. Breakfast was equally tasty, we had the Japanese style, but you can choose western if you prefer. There are many hotel amenities including free juice, coffee, & tea in the lounge. You also get 1 free drink (draft beer & I can't remember the other choice) at the bar between 3:30-5pm. If your private onsen doesn't suffice, there's also the public one which has a beautiful garden view. The hotel is a bit of a walk to the main town area, maybe 10min., but worth it. If you come in the winter, they light up Jikokudani valley so try to go in the evening too.

Everything about Noguchi is amazing. The hotel is well located near to the Jigokudani park. The entrance to the hotel driveway is unassuming though and can be difficult to spot after the sun goes down, especially if driving into the area for the first time. Staff is friendly and helpful - they really pamper you there. And the suites are huge! Pictures on the website are 100% accurate. We felt relaxed and at home already the moment we stepped in. A very welcome change from the tight spaces we get in a typical hotel room on the road. Half the battle won right there to drive stress levels down indeed. Reservation comes with dinner and breakfast in a dining room. A butler serves and explains every dish of the kaiseki course. A true feast for the eyes as it is delicious. There is a strict restriction on the number and minimum age of guests coming to the hotel. Notwithstanding, it is the way an exclusive onsen establishment that aims to deliver a unique experience, serenity and 100% relaxation, ought to be. We are so glad we picked Noguchi!
