Where do I even start, I paid for an extra day due to the fact that my flight arrived at 7 AM and did not want to wait till 3 PM to get the keys to check in. I called a week prior to my reservation to advise it would be a late check in, and they said no problem. As soon as I arrive to a Brazil I received a bank notification notifying me of fraudulent transactions that’s because the hotel Sheraton tried taking THREE different times money and all three transactions were of different pricing. I asked the front desk of this and where they came up with this three different prices. WEIRD. The day of check out I asked for a statement of what I paid for and to my surprise I got charged for late check in of $200 when I CALLED prior, so not only did I pay for an extra day I had to pay for a “late fee” even though I called. The front desk told me that’s because I arrived “late” and my check in was for the 12th of July even though I called and advised prior. The front desk told me the couldn’t hold my room that’s why I needed to pay for the late fee and I’m confused if I already PAID for the extra day knowing I was arriving late. Terrible.

The breakfast is low quality for a Sheraton. The food in general is low quality and high prices.

Excellent location, Sheraton’s private beach was fabulous but the highlight of our stay was the excellent service from the entire staff! From the welcome desk at check in, the staff at the concierge desk, the doormen and last but not least, the staff in the breakfast restaurant. This was undoubtedly the best customer service I have experienced.

Great hotel choice for your trip to Rio! Located in leblon on the beach with a great pool! Very easy to uber from hotel to the city for your activities. The pool was very nice to relax by after a day exploring. Very safe and clean, I would recommend to anyone going to Rio!

Great location, beautiful pool. Would be better with a small shop with some food and medicines so you didn’t need to go to the city to get basics. Very safe, close to where you want to be. Taxis are abundant there.

Great location not far from a lot of things

I cut my self with a broker shower and they want to solve it with a cheap champagne bottle

The location, set apart from busier areas, made it nice to come home to after a busy day

Amazing staff, location, view and amenities. I got sick coming from another hotel at check in and the Sheraton staff were lifesavers. They assisted me to my room and checked in on me multiple times throughout my stay. Great amenities and fantastic breakfast options. I highly recommend and I’ll be back at the Sheraton Grand for my next visit to Rio de Janeiro.
