Brekfast looks so old fruit look nasty fly and bug in every well I not expect Expedia select this property now I have to make sure when I book from Expedia this hotel don’t have shop shampoo I ask staff they give me some one use bottle that’s so nasty they charge me 20 Swiss money I don’t know why plz remove from u book list such bad experience hope no one book I never see this kind of bad breakfast in my life

We stayed one night and it was awesome service was excellent room was very nice ,you do share a washroom but we had no problems with that ,dinner and breakfast was really good highly recommend we would definitely stay here again

We booked one night for 2 adults and 2 children. I will start with the positive :
1. The location is absolutely breathtaking. The view of the mountains is just amazing !
2. Very welcoming hosts.
3. Although is not a new property, it was very clean. Very impressed with the bathroom cleanliness
On the other side, a car is needed to reach the property. Road is quite narrow and although I have 18 years driving experience, I think when the dark falls it can be tricky. We were on the top floor and unfortunately the guess below us suffered as every step of ours will make a disturbing noise for them.
But overall a pleasant stay. will definitely recommend

I wanted a place in the mountains and Schwand Gusthaus delivered. Woke up to a scene out of a movie. Tall mountains, green pastures and tinkling bells on cows. Myelie and Patrick are great hosts. We had dinner in their restaurant one night. Excellent food! I am planning to stay here again this winter. It is a shared bathroom situation so if that is an issue look elsewhere. Beds were very comfortable. And Engelberg is a lovely little town.
