We had a spacious room, beautifully appointed and very clean. The room design was well planned such that we had a double hand basin area with a bath and shower in a separate room and the toilet in a separate room again. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The dining room furniture was made up of beautiful antiques. For breakfast we had the choice of traditional Japanese or Western. The property also has a roof terrace. It was only a 10 min walk to Kyoto Station, had a fabulous ramen bar around the corner, and we enjoyed walks along the river.

The Abita is a boutique type hotel in a central but relatively quiet location in Kyoto. The room amenities and fittings were top rated with nice artwork touches. The staff and systems showed good management and effort to assist the guests stay. The location was good, easy walk to local subway station and further walk/subway ride to restaurants/nightlife and daytime sightseeing activity. Highly recommended for above average hotel stay in Kyoto.

This was our favourite accommodation throughout Japan. The room was huge with a separate toilet and powder room to the bathroom. Japanese PJ's were provided which was a nice touch, also a hair straightener and curler and Nespresso coffee pods. The staff were amazing, so polite and helpful and always smiling. The breakfast was an experience in itself - opt for the Japanese style breakfast- it was delicious. The location was perfect, only a 5 min walk to the Keihan subway line and walking distance to Gion district and Nishiki market accross the river. Perfect walkable location. It was also so quiet and peaceful.

Very attentive staff. Roam was very clean. Short distance to train station making commute convenient.

Hotels in Kyoto ate pricey and I was not sure what yo expect. This is a wonderful little hotel located central to everything you would want to see here. The rooms, staff and food are impeccable!

Every detail is so beautiful in this hotel! The breakfast is to die for! Stayed two times already and will definitely come back again! Absolutely amazing place and the hotel personnel is so nice and super helpful! Love, love, love!

Excellent service. The hotel manager Takayoshi was a superb host, and so were all staff members in the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel.

First class accommodations with comfy beds and amenities. Delicious breakfast. Refined lobby entrance. Many thanks to the General Manager who arranged my luggage transfer and taxi rides and more. Takoshi was uniquely kind and gracious. Will gladly return

I had an incredible stay at Abita. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff were so kind and helpful. It’s located next to the river and I was lucky to see cherry blossoms lining it starting to bloom! My room was one of my favorite hotel rooms to date (with a very spacious bathroom). Bed was comfy, amenities great. And both the western and Japanese style breakfasts were so delicious! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly highly recommend.
