Amazing location

An extremely clean hotel in a very safe neighborhood. Front desk staff goes above and beyond making you feel welcome. The room I had was extremely small but who cares. You're in the middle of the greatest City in one of the greatest neighborhoods so get the heck out of the room and go enjoy. What I have told management is that I did not appreciate the 6:00 a.m. text reminding me that check out was 11. And I certainly didn't appreciate the 8:00 a.m. text reminding me again that checkout was at 11:00. And what I told them was totally inexcusable was housekeeping running their extremely loud vacuum right outside the door at 8:00 a.m. in the morning. I certainly hope they will correct those three things because while sparse, this place is everything you'd want it to be.

I arrived after midnight and there was no one at reception. I called the two numbers at the desk. One went to an answer machine but hung up before I could leave a message. The other had a menu of options that put me on hold but after a short while the call dropped and I had to redial. Only on the fourth attempt when I chose the Chicago property instead of the D.C. property option did I get through and the receptionist was able to let me in and provide a code for my room. It took over an hour and I didn’t get to the room until after one am! There was a young mother with a child who only spoke French in the reception with the same problem and luckily the assistant in Chicago could help her too.

1- TV and remote will not sync, can't watch withour 30 mins battle with the remote and resetting the sync. 2- Room carpet damaged /dirty. 3 - AC unit very loud, non stopnoise beyond what is normal. Staff was cordial and helpful .

they lost our luggage- put it in a different room than the code and room they gave us. there was no staff in the hotel so i had to call their property in chicago for help

Very clean hotel with a friendly staff. My only issue was that my room had some type of a banging in the wall that was heard regularly (maybe a plumbing issue) which would wake me up occasionally. Overall, a pleasant stay and I would return. Great location. Convenient to the metro, walkable and charming neighborhood, also walkable to the National Mall.

Staff was great and such a good location. Looking straight down from the front of the street to the White House was awesome. The bed was awful and I slept terribly every night. Other than that, it was a great hotel, good room and great location.

I like the clean and crisp sheets best! I only use the room for the night, so didn't have much interaction with the staff. The housekeeping ladies are great. Location is good and convenient.
