Awesome! Went in mid Feb. Took the beginner ATV ride in the morning. The route exceeded my expectation. 80% on paved road and 20% on forest track. The ride was slightly more than 3 hours and brought us past picturesque countryside with rolling hills of plantation, terraces of paddy field and rustic villages. A big plus was a visit to Nong Hoi Royal Project. Saw Sakura trees and breathtaking view of the surroundings. Facial mask and protective cap were provided by the Organiser. Very thoughtful. A light jacket is advisable as the air is chilly in the mountain and for protection from the sun as it can be sunny towards noon time. However, my ATV seriously needs maintenance. Thick smelly white smog came out from the exhaust when accelerating. Also, my suspension was abit soft and I had to be careful when making turns. Maybe it's the behaviour of ATV. My first attempt on ATV though.
Great experience. Will do it again. The Instructors are friendly and they will help u to take great photos. Is advisable to wear longer pants, covered shoes, wear shades (this is to prevent sands from getting into your eyes) and also pls travel light so your don't have to carry a lot of stuff when u ride.
My family of 4 enjoyed the 3-hour ATV beginners ride on 21 Dec. We did a trial session for about 5 min. I lost control of the ATV and was 'banned' from driving it. My elder girl was too nervous with it. In place, we were made passengers with their Instructors and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I totally enjoyed myself riding the ATV with instructor Pat (I think) while taking photos and videos of the 3-hour trip, especially the marvellous mountain views overlooking padi and strawberry fields. My husband told me that the 3-hour ATV ride was tiring even for him and he was glad that our family got to experience it with our safety not compromised. On hindsight, I just wished that I was given a little longer time or a little more encouragement to learn how to ride the ATV. Having said that, I was most thankful to the Instructors for valuing our safety over everything else.
