Tour guide is on time. Very accomodating nd polite. We tried the elephant ride and they were patiently waiting for us to finish. Floating market is good place to see!
We hesitated to ride the boats and opted to just walk around the market to buy whatever we wanted. But I guess it was 50% a bad decision and 50% good. Bad because we should have just paid the 150baht for the experience. Good because we met a friend who was on the boat and said that it was quite "boring". Well, we enjoyed the food at the floating market anyway. We tried mango sticky rice, coconut ice cream, coconut pancakes and grilled pork on skewers. 😊
CONS: I believe the floating market is only a tourist destination. The ride is very long and bumpy. A/C in Van did not work well making the ride miserable. Our guide Mr. Bahn was slightly offensive but tolerable. Pros: Tourist trap or not the floating market was enjoyable. It was cool to be in all the action and even found really good prices. The elephant farm was the highlight of the day there are several elephants you can pet and hand feed turnips. Was definitely an amazing experience.
It was a good day out. The travelling time however was very long, that may have been due to how far away our hotel was from anywhere else. The market was excellent and there was a wide range of floating and none floating stalls. We decided to see the elephants; if you are travelling around Thailand and will be going somewhere else to see them don't bother with this, it is good to touch and stroke them and you can feed them.
Nok, our guide was very pleasant. We were picked up from the hotel and dropped off at our requested train station, which made the trip extra convenient. We were given ample time to enjoy each activity. We'll definitely recommend this package. This was a last minute booking and received immediate confirmation. Thanks klook team!
