Loved our 4-night stay here! Walkable to convenience stores, metro station, old town and even station if you don’t mind 15-20min walks. The room was the most spacious we have stayed in across Japan, the only downside was the sofa beds being uncomfortable for the two of us who were sleeping on those as we were a family of four.

Decent spot, close to bus stations and about 20 minute walk to Kiyomizu-dera, nishiki market, and many restaurants. Quiet area.

Good location in Kyoto, but a lot of the rules are not clear on booking sites like Hotels.com or Expedia. There is no staff there most of the day, hotel is very basic even though pictures show it in a much modern light, you cannot check out a day early even in emergency situations. There is no cleaning service. When we arrived we were supposed to stay 4 nights and they asked us to consent to one cleaning, in the third day. That cleaning never actually happen, and there wasn’t someone to ask why. Clean hotel, very basic, expensive for what it offers, good location. Would not stay there again, much nicer options for similar price.

Spacious and super clean. Great value for the money. Nice, friendly and helpful staff. Good location, would love to stay again

Room was very large, staff were friendly. Great stay!

Very clean and the staff were very helpful.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They made our stay more enjoyable.

Very comfortable in adjoining twin rooms for two adults and two teens. Sadly the mattress protector on my bed was stained, I could see it through the sheet :( Good facilities & great location though. It was good to be able to walk to so many attractions, the national museum is five minutes walk & kiyomizu-dera is less than 20 minutes walk away. Also, the free communal washer/dryers were much appreciated by my family.

Very friendly staff.

This is a tiny hotel in a quiet neighborhood a bit far from the inner city. The rooms are comfortable but not really family-friendly as they accommodate max 2 persons (we booked 2 rooms for the four of us). Not so many dining options around. No extra service is offered by the hotel.
